12:00am AMERICA’S MUSIC FESTIVALS with Orli Shaham - Interlochen Arts Camp: The state of Michigan is known for its incredible abundance of water – the state is surrounded by four out of the five Great Lakes and has about 11,000 inland lakes. It is between two of these inland lakes where one finds a gem of a town, Interlochen, which abounds with hiking and biking trails as well as a bright and thriving arts community. The Interlochen Summer Arts Festival fills the town each summer with diverse and entertaining arts programming for all ages. Presented by the renowned InterlochenCenter for the Arts, the festival includes performances by classical musicians but also offers stand-up acts by comedians, dance performances, musicals and Shakespeare shows.
