1:00 THE METROPOLITAN OPERA
The 2010-2011 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with Rossini’s Armida, starring Renée Fleming as the sorceress who uses her magical powers to bewitch and seduce men. Tenor Lawrence Brownlee is her lover, the Crusader knight Rinaldo, leading an unusual cast that includes a total of six tenors: Barry Banks as Carlo, Yeghishe Manucharyan as Eustazio, John Osborn as Goffredo, Antonino Siragusa as Gernando, and Kobie van Resburg as Ubaldo. Riccardo Frizza conducts. 
The intermissions will include live Backstage Interviews with some of the stars of Armida as well as the beloved Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera Quiz hosted by soprano Natalie Dessay, who currently appears in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor.
