Matthew Muckey, trumpet player, was 17 when he appeared on a broadcast taped in San Francisco in 2002, now 23, and a member of the New York Philharmonic, this piece from the archives features Matthew performing Arban’s The Carnival of Venice
Elena Urioste, violinist, was15 when she first appeared on From the Top, she is now 22 and a budding violin soloist, recorded in Corning, NY she performs Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy Op 25.
Ji-Yong Kim, pianist, was 15 when he appeared on From the Top with composer John Corigliano. Now 17 and a concert pianist, he performs Corigliano’s Etude Fantasy, Etude No. 3 'Fifths to Thirds'
Carol Jantsch, tuba player, was 17 when she appeared on a broadcast from Interlochen. Now 23 and the youngest female principal tuba player in a professional orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, she performs
