THE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA 2007! BROADCAST AGREEMENT

Cleveland's Choice;– The Cream of the Crop is what you will find in this season's syndicated spectacular from The Cleveland Orchestra.  World-class conductors and soloists join Franz Welser-Möst in a not-to-be-missed amalgam of top-flight works by some of history's greatest composers.

Among the acclaimed soloists this season are: Leif Ove Andsnes, Simon Keenlyside, Thomas Quasthoff, Dame Felicity Lott, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and Emanuel Ax. Several works your listeners won’t want to miss are featured on this series, including Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, Shostakovich’s 14th and 15th symphonies, Brahm’s violin concerto and Piano Concerto No. 2, Strauss’ Four Last Songs, Death and Transfiguration, and Der Rosenkavalier, several Mozart piano concertos, and Franz Schmidt’s The Book of the Seven Seals. Not to be overshadowed by the list of works and featured artists is the array of guest conductors that also join The Cleveland Orchestra this season. Masur explores Bruch and Bruckner, McGegan leads and performs Bach, Vivaldi and Handel, Uchida directs and plays Mozart, and Boulez does Berlioz.
