
WCLV presents a new broadcast series, America’s Music Festivals, hosted by
renowned conductor Marin Alsop, which is devoted to live performances from the
leading music festivals in North America. Each festival receives its own two-hour
episode that highlights the best performances from the summer.
The American Music Festivals will be heard on WCLV, at 12:00 AM on Sundays.
In this premiere season, listeners will travel to
• Seattle to hear the Seattle Chamber Music Societyand the love story between
pianists Anna Polonsky and Orion Weiss
• Silicon Valley, home of the first Apple Computer and the world-class
artists and emerging musicians from Music@Menlo.
• The Land of Enchantment with festivals in Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque,
and Angel Fire
America’s Music Festivals begins with festivals from the West in 2011 and moves on to
festivals from the East and Midwest in 2012.
