San Francisco Symphony
2007 Broadcast Season

 The Sound of Celebration continues as the San Francisco Symphony rejoices 
in their 25th year of performing in Davies symphony hall, and their 94 th
year performing as an ensemble!

The 2007 national broadcast season will feature Michael Tilson Thomas and thirteen world-famous guest conductors leading the orchestra through gems like Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Strauss’s Death and Transfiguration, Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3, Vaughan Williams’ Symphony No 6, Verdi’s Requiem, Ravel’s La Valse, Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 and Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol as well as two performances of the famous Adagio from Mahler’s Symphony No. 10.

The 2007 broadcast season will also be a year of top-notch soloists including Joshua Bell, Jonathan Biss, Leon Fleisher, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Janine Jansen, Alexander Barantschik, Lang Lang, Lynn Harrell, Gil Shaham, Katia and Marielle Labèque, Sarah Chang, and Angela Hewitt.  Some of the incredible solo and duet performances featured are Brahms’ Concerto for Violin and Cello in a, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in e, Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F, William Schuman’s Violin Concerto,  Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in d, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 15 in Bb, and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C.

The concerts for the 2006 San Francisco Symphony broadcast season were recorded in Davies Symphony Hall with Rik Malone of KDFC-FM returning as host.  The San Francisco Symphony programs will be available on Content Depot as files and on WCLV’s FTP site beginning on 4/2/07.  Broadcast rights extending until March 26, 2008.  Each program may be broadcast one time only.

**MARKET EXCLUSIVITY **
Broadcast rights will not be granted to stations in the 9 counties in the San Francisco Bay area
with the exception of KDFC.
