| THE BLACK ARTS |

WCLV's The Black Arts, hosted by A. Grace Lee Mims, is an hour-long magazine programs devoted to exploring black composers and performers. The program also features "The Black Arts Calendar," a listing of arts events involving and of interest to the African-American community. Interviews with significant musicians are an occasional feature. Wednesday evenings beginning at 10:00. |

| BIG WORK AT ONE |

Monday through Friday, WCLV clears the board from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. to present lengthy works that we are not normally able to broadcast during the day because of commercial traffic: Brahms piano concertos, Bach choral works, etc. Big works, little talk. |

Since 1989, WCLV has presented a regular series of live concerts by faculty and students from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Participants in CIM's Broadcast Procedures class, which is taught at the WCLV studios, write the scripts and assist in backstage production. |
| CITY CLUB FORUM |

For over 100 years, the City Club Forum of Cleveland has served as a free-speech platform for the nation, inviting nationally recognized speakers to address the Forum on the significant topics of the day. The City Club Forum's broadcasts can be heard on Fridays at 10:00 p.m. |

| THE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA |
|
WCLV's flagship programs are the weekly Cleveland Orchestra concerts, part of the station's schedule since 1965. "The best band in the land" (Time Magazine) is heard twice each week on WCLV. Saturdays from Severance, at 8:00 p.m., presents live and recorded concerts. The traditional Sunday 4:00 p.m. Cleveland Orchestra on the Radio broadcasts feature recorded concerts from the current season as well as programs produced from archival broadcasts.
WCLV also produces and distributes an annual 26 week national and international series of Orchestra broadcasts. |

This weekly WCLV program, which airs on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m., previews selections that are to be played during that week's Cleveland Orchestra concerts. On weeks when the Orchestra is not performing, Previews becomes Cleveland Orchestra Showcase, with performances from the Orchestra's extensive commerical recordings library. It's on WCLV weekdays at 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM; also, about 1:00 AM on WCLV All Night. Saturdays, it's heard at 10:00 AM; Sundays at 11:00 AM. Composers Datebook is a daily two-minute program designed to inform, engage, and entertain listeners with timely information about composers of the past and present. Each program notes significant or intriguing musical events involving composers of the past and present—with appropriate and accessible music related to each. Composers Datebook is produced by American Public Media in association with the American Composers Forum, with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. The creator of the series and its principal writer is John Michel of the American Composers Forum. The announcer is John Zech. WCLV has been a proud member of the Metropolitan Opera Radio Network since December 1969, when it became the first FM-only commercial station to carry the Met. The Saturday afternoon live broadcasts, which air December through Mayl, are more than opera performances. They are a national cultural icon. |

Musical Passions is a one-hour program that focuses on great recordings that have excited the passions of your host or his guest.
