NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC LIVE ON THURSDAY 6/24 AT 7:30 PM

To celebrate the conclusion of Alan Gilbert’s first season as Music Director of  the New York Philharmonic,  his final concert will be broadcast LIVE from Avery Fisher Hall over WCLV on Thursday, June 24 at 7:30 PM. 

Maestro Gilbert will conduct two works:  Al largo, a World Premiere-New York Philharmonic Commission by Magnus Lindberg, and Beethoven’s Missa solemnis.  Joining the Orchestra for the Beethoven mass will be soprano Christine Brewer; mezzo-soprano Jane Henschel; tenor Anthony Dean Griffey; and bass-baritone Eric Owens; with the New York Choral Artists, Joseph Flummerfelt, director.
