WCLV PRESIDENT INDUCTED INTO OHIO SENIOR CITIZEN HALL OF FAME
On Monday, May 24, 2010, in a ceremony
held at the Capitol Theatre in Columbus,
WCLV's President and Co-Founder Robert
Conrad was inducted into the State of
Ohio's Senior Citizen Hall of Fame.
The Director of the Ohio Department of
Aging, Barbara Riley, said, in part, "Not
only has Mr. Conrad kept classical music
on the Cleveland airwaves for (over) four
decades, he also has raised millions
for area arts organizations and promoted
support of cultural assets."
Robert Conrad receives a Proclamation from Speaker
of the Ohio House Armond Budish. Making the presentation
is Ginni Ragan, Legislative Chair of the Ohio Department
of Aging Advisory Council.
Conrad joins more than 350 individuals who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1977. Other of the thirteen Class of 2010 inductees include educators, researchers, former legislators, community activists and actor/philanthropist Paul Newman.
