Pierre-Laurent Aimard Guest on WCLV Orchestra Intermission
At the intermission of the WCLV live Cleveland Orchestra broadcast on September 27, 2008, Cleveland Orchestra Artist-in-Residence Pierre-Laurent Aimard was Robert Conrad’s guest in the Radio Green Room. The two talked about Aimard’s recording projects and George Benjamin’s Duet for Piano and Orchestra. Aimard. The Orchestra and Franz Welser-Möst gave the U. S. premiere at the concert. They had presented the world premiere of the piece at the Lucerne Festival in August, 2008, and will give the New York premiere at Carnegie Hall in February, 2009.
