THE 2009 BLOSSOM BROADWAY BABIES CONTEST

 

If you're the kind of person who belts out showtunes in the shower, you're
just the kind of person who might qualify to be a WCLV Blossom Broadway
Baby at the July 12th Bravo Broadway Rodgers and Hammerstein Concert
by The Cleveland Orchestra.

For a chance to win a pair of tickets, send an e mail to bbb@wclv.com,
send a postcard, or register online.
                      



When the winners arrive at Blossom, they will have their picture taken
with costumed WCLV personalities including Bill Rudman of Footlight
Parade
 (worth the price of admission, alone) and receive their own
Broadway Baby mini-costume depicting a characer in one of the featured
R & H musicals - The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Oklahoma,
The King and I
and Carousel. Approprioately costumed, all will set
together and dream of footlights and rave reviews while listening to
The Cleveland Orchestra play selected all-time favorites from the beloved
musicals.At intermission, all will visit Kulas Plaza to toast the new found
stardom.

Entry Deadline: Noon, July 6th

JOIN WCLV'S PRESIDENT FOR AN EVENING AT BLOSSOM


Robert Conrad
is the President and
co-founder of WCLV, the producer
and commentator for The Cleveland
Orchestra radio broadcasts and the
host of Weekend Radio. You have a
chance to to join him for "An Evening
at Blossom" Saturday, July 18th. 

The evening includes dinner at the
Blossom Grill, during which you’ll chat
with him about WCLV, the Orchestra
and the night’s concert. And you can
ask all sorts of searching questions.
And then you'll enjoy the Orchestra
conducted by Franz Welser-Moest
performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto
with Nikolai Znaider as soloist and the Shostakovich Symphony No. 5.

Listen to the afternoon Movie Quiz at
4:25 each day, July 6 through the 10th,
and if you will win, you and your guest will join Robert for dinner and the
concert.  And each winner will receive a copy of the Orchestra’s recording
of the Shostakovich Symphony No. 5. Winners also receive a Lot A parking
pass.

The six week hiatus does not apply for this contest.
