The week of June 1 through the 5th,
from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, WCLV will
preview this summer's Cleveland
International Piano Competition,
which takes place  July 28 –
August 9, 2009 at The Cleveland
Play House and Severance Hall.

We'll play music from previous
CIPC competitions including excerpts
from Concerto Rounds with The
Cleveland Orchestra.  Also, comments from some of this year's 35 contestants will be aired as well as discussion of a lot of new things that will take place this year, including a Musical Chats series, Master Classes, glimpses behind the scenes, a printed Listening Guide to facilitate understanding of the music and the competition process,  video projection to show keyboard and hands,  and an $1000 Audience Prize to the hall audience’s favorite contestant. 

WCLV will broadcast live the 2009 CIPC wall-to-wall, sponsored by Judson of University Circle.
