On Thursday, June 25th at 7:00 PM,
WCLV will broadcast live Lorin Maazel's
final concert as Music Director of the New
York Philharmonic.  For more than 50 years
he has stood as one of the masters of our
era, including a nine year tenure as Music
Director of The Cleveland Orchestra. For the
last six, he has stood before audiences as
the leader of New York's Philharmonic.
The program will be Gustav Mahler's
Symphony No. 8, "Symphony of a Thousand."

The concert will take place live from Avery Fisher Hall, soloists will include sopranos Christine Brewer, Nancy Gustafson and Jeanine De Bisque; mezzo-sopranos Mary Phillips and Nancy Maultsby; tenor Anthony Dean Griffey; bass Wolfgang Schone; and bass-baritone Jason Grant, with the New York Choral Artists, Joseph Flummerfelt, director; The Dessoff Symphonic Choir, James Bagwell, director and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Dianne Berkun, director.
