WCLV TO REPRISE APOLLO'S FIRE BROADCAST SERIES

WCLV is reprising the heralded 13 week national broadcast series by Apollo's Fire, The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra. WCLV will repeat the concerts on Saturday afternoons at 1:00 beginning May 2nd. Robert Conrad is the producer and commentator.
These are not your usual "fly-on-the-wall" concert broadcasts. For instance, the May 16th program is an on-the-spot report of the competition for the post of Kapellmeister in Leipzig between Fasch, Telemann, Graupner and an unknown organist by the name of Bach. PBS, the Prussian Broadcasting System, takes you there. The May 9th show happens on a Mediterranean beach at night with performers and dancers around a bonfire. The August 8th program takes you to an 18th Century Starbucks.
