APOLLO'S FIRE BROADCAST SERIES ON WCLV

WCLV is producing and distributing a 13 week national series of broadcasts by Apollo's Fire, The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra. Although the critically acclaimed ensemble has had periodic single national broadcasts, such as the Messiah concert heard on WCLV on Christmas Day, 2008, this is the first such extended series.
WCLV is airing the programs on Tuesday evenings at 9:00 PM as of January 6th. Robert Conrad is the producer and commentator. These are not your usual "fly-on-the-wall" concert broadcasts. For instance, the January 20th program is an on-the-spot report of the competition for the post of Kapellmeister in Leipzig between Fasch, Telemann, Graupner and an unknown organist by the name of Bach. PBS, the Prussian Broadcasting System, takes you there. The January 13th show happens on a Mediterranean beach at night with performers and dancers around a bonfire.
