WCLV PRODUCTION MANAGER JIM MEHRLING HONORED


The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northern Ohio (AMCNO) has announced that
WCLV's Production Manager Jim Mehrling  will receive a Special Recognition Award for
2008 at the AMCNO's Annual Meeting on April 25, 2008.

The Special Recognition Award is given to a person who has made outstanding
contributions to the community in the field of health care. Dr. Paul Janicki, Chairman
of the Honor Committee said that, "(Jim's) longstanding role working with the AMCNO
and our physicians on the Health Lines radio program on WCLV has certainly contibuted
to the health and welfare of our community." 

It is Jim's responsibility to record the interviews with doctors, both in the studio and
elsewhere, and then assemble the completed program for broadcast. He has been
producing Health Lines since 1994. 

The feature, covering all aspects of health and medicine, currently is heard at 5:45 PM,
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, every other week. The show has been on WCLV since
November of 1966.   

Mehrling, one of the best radio voices in Cleveland, is well-known to WCLV listeners, although
he is somewhat anonymous. He voices and produces many WCLV commercials, promos, and
program opens and closes with the professionalism and creativity that continue to be his hallmark.
