CHRISTIAN CONRAD READS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Back in 1966, Robert Conrad's oldest daughter, Caroline, then five years old, did a reading of "The Night Before Christmas" for broadcast on WCLV Saturday Night. Caroline, of course, is now a grown lady, and the book is being passed on to the next generation. Last year, the Conrads' grandaughter Sarah Bachman, age five, oldest child of Bob and Jean's youngest daughter Andrea and husband Matt Bachman, read the poem. This year, it's the turn of another grandchild, Christian Conrad, age six, offspring of the Conrads' late son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Diane Conrad. Christian's reading will be heard on Monday, December 24th at. 3:45 PM. It will be followed by the commercial recording from Ludwig Music done by grandpa Conrad, featuring a wind ensemble conducted by the late Frederick Fennell, incidentally, the last recording made by Fennell. Yes, seasonal nepotism reigns. |
