DEDICATION OF MIXON HALL AT CIM TO BE AIRED ON WCLV

The Cleveland Institute of Music will celebrate the completion of its extensive $44 million expansion renovation project with the dedication of Mixon Hall. WCLV will broadcast live the Dedication Ceremony and Concert beginning at 4:10 PM. Following remarks by President David Cerone and Chairman Malachi Mixon and a “ribbon cutting”, members of the faculty and student body will present the first concert in the new recital hall.
Selections to be heard will range from Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins to the Marine Hymn, in honor of Mr. Mixon who served in the Marines and the official birthday of the Corps. The Marines were commissioned by the Continental Congress on November 10, 1775.
