In 1964, Robert and Jean Conrad's oldest daughter, Caroline, then 5, read "The Night Before Christmas" for broadcast on WCLV Saturday Night. That recording has been heard from time to time throughout the years. And now the baton (or should we say "book") has been passed on to the next generation. Robert and Jean's granddaughter, Sarah Bachman, (age 5) recorded "The Night Before Christmas" at the WCLV studios recently. It will be heard on Christmas Eve afternoon between 2:30 and 3:00 PM, followed by her grandfather's recording of the Moore poem with an ensemble conducted by the late Frederick Fennell.
