When WCLV was donated to the WCLV Foundation in 2001, part of the charge to the Foundation was  that a contribution to area non-profits from station revenue would be made on an annual basis. In November of 2006, WCLV sent checks for $5000 to each of six major arts organizations - The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Cleveland Playhouse, The Cleveland Foundation, and new this year, ideastream, northeast Ohio's public broadcasting organization.  

This brings the total donated by the WCLV Foundation since 2003 to $105,000.
