WBKC NO LONGER SIMULCASTING WCLV
Tuesday, 17 October, 2006 12:00 PM
We regret to announce that WCLV's classical music programing is no longer available over WBKC 1460 in Painesville. Cleveland station WABQ has been sold, and the new owners are changing its
format to Sports. The previous WABQ owners, who currently also own WBKC have decided to move much of WABQ's gospel and religious programming to WBKC.
We thank the previous owner of WBKC, Clarence Bucaro, for his original concept of repeating WCLV's programming over 1460 AM. And we thank the current owner of WBKC, Dale Edwards, for allowing the swimulcast to continue for over a year after he assumed ownership of WBKC.
We also thank the many loyal WCLV listeners in Lake and Ashtabula Counties for their support. Although, for the most part, they will no longer be able to enjoy WCLV's unique programming over the air, we remind them that they can listen to WCLV via the Internet at www.wclv.com, and on their car radios when they drive in to Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina and northern Summit Counties.
