WCLV TO BROADCAST A SPECIAL MAKE MUSIC CONCERT FROM SEVERANCE HALL

On Thusday, March 7th, the inaugural
event of Make Music! by The Cleveland
Orchestra is a Showcase Concert on
Thursday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m. It will be
under the direction of Franz Welser-Möst
and  will combine The Cleveland Orchestra
with all of the Orchestra’s youth ensembles –
the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra,
Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, and the
Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus – in concert at Severance Hall for the first time in the
Orchestra’s history.  WCLV will record and broadcast the first half of the concert on Wedneday, March 13 at 8:00 PM, which will feature three-hundred students performing on stage.  Young musicians from El Sistema@Rainey, an intensive after-school music program for young string musicians, will begin the program, led by their founder, Isabel Trautwein, a violinist in The Cleveland Orchestra.   This special broadcast on WCLV is a preview of the entire concert including the second half with the Orchestra, COYO. COYC and the Children's Chorus,  which will be televised by WVIZ/PBS on Friday, March 15th at 9:00 PM .  WCLV's Nancy Sinning will host
