OHIO SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION AND BEREA CITY SCHOOLS NAME WCLV TO THE 2012 OSBA BUSINESS HONOR ROLL
The Ohio School Boards Association and the Berea City Schools have named
WCLV to the 2012 Business Honor Roll in appreciation for WCLV's strong support
for the Berea City Schools.
In a letter of congratulations, Sharon Manson, President of the OSBA, says that
"School-Business partnerships greatly benefit all involved. Local businesses play a crucial roll in supporting their communities' schools. This support is especially important as school districts struggle with limited resources, budget uncertainities and a difficult economic climate. It's equally important that schools and communities support
their local merchants and service providers. OSBA encourages everyone in the
community to recognize WCLV's outstanding contributions to the Berea City Schools."
For ten years, WCLV has broadcast a series of announcements promoting
the Berea City School system as a leader in elementary and high school education.
In addition, the station has aided the system in producing special music programs.
In other support of area schools, for four years, WCLV and the Ohio Music Educatiors
Association have saluted northeast Ohio All-Star Music Students each spring.
The station runs a series of annoucements naming the students and their teachers,
lists them on the WCLV website and sends each All-Star student a certificate.
