LAST NIGHT AT THE PROMS ON WCLV, SEPTEMBER 8, 8:00 PM

It's wonderful and silly, and one of the best musical events iin the world..the culmination of the
foremost music festival there is...the Last Night at the Proms...and iit all happens on
WCLV at 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 8th. This is an exciting to-be-heard event,
and when the audience joins in on "Rule Britannia" and "Land of Hope and Glory,"
you just might wish the American Revolution hadn't been so successful. Check below

Because of the Proms 8:00 PM starting time, the normal slot for Saturdays at Severance,
The Cleveland Orchestra will be heard in two broadcasts during the afternoon. Starting at
1:05 PM, after the BBC News, the Orchestra's concert performance of Salome will be
aired, followed at 3:00 PM, by a concert conducted by Franz featuring
the Brahms Violin Concerto with Julian Rachlin as soloist, four movements
from Ma vlast  by Smetana.
