WINNERS OF THE WCLV NIGHT AT THE OPERA CONTEST

On Sunday, August 5, 2012, WCLV hosted 40 WCLV listeners to The Cleveland Orchestra's "Night at the Opera" concert at Blossom Music Center. The program featured the Orchestra in a collection of opera overtures and arias with conductor Johannes Debus and soloists Angela Meade, soprano; Michael Fabiano, tenor; and the Blossom Festival Chorus.  In addition to the tickets for the concert, each listener received a parking pass, a prized WCLV Valkyrie helmet, as well as Cleveland Orchestra Opera glasses—plus the perfect accessory for the cheap seats: Groucho glasses. Other attendees at the concert were jealous, several asking if they could buy the Valkyrie helmets from the winners.
