ST. NOEL OF WILLOUGHBY NAMED FIRST PLACE IN 2012
JUBILATION CHURCH CHOIR FESTIVAL
St. Noel Church, Willoughby Hills - Agniezska Bieniek, Director, was awarded First Place in the
2012 Jubilation - Stuart Church Choir Festival on Friday evening, May 11, 2012. The Choir
received a check for $1000 and a trophy. The event is sponsored by WCLV and St. John
Cathedral and was broadcast live over WCLV.
The five other finalists in the 5th Jubilation, held at St. John's Cathedral on Thursday and Friday,
were awarded $500 each and a plaque. Each of the choirs will receive a recording of the
broadcasts, In additon, the audience was able to vote each evening on its favorite performance.
On Thursday, the audience favorte was St. Joseph; on Friday, St. Noel.

Mary Queen of Peace Chamber Choir, Cleveland – David Jaronowski, Director
The six choirs each presented a twenty minute program which was adjudicated by
a panel of distinguished judges, Robert Page, former Director of Choruses for
The Cleveland Orchestra and and Music Director Emeritus of The Mendelssohn
Choir of Pittsburgh; Frank Bianchi, former Director of the Cleveland Orchestra
Youth Chorus and Founding Director of the Baldwin Wallace Men's Chorus; Peter
Jarjisian, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Ohio University.
