OPERA CONTINES THROUGH THE SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL
ON SATURDAY AFTERNOONS

 

With the conclusion of the Metropolitan Opera season, WCLV continues with opera on Saturday afternoons through the spring, summer and fall of 2012. We'll present full length opera broadcasts from the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Houston Opera, the San Francisco Opera and The Cleveland Orchestra opera productions, including the Salzburg performance of Dvoark's Rusalka,  which has been released commercially. This was the production about which the ciritcs said The Cleveland Orchestra plays better than the Vienna Philharmonic.
The opera broadcasts will all begin at 1:00 PM, following the BBC News.
