THE WCLV THANKS-4-GIVING LIFE SHARE BLOOD DRIVE  NETS
190 PINTS

On Thursday November 10, 2011, WCLV presented the
tenth annual
LifeShare Thanks-4-Giving Blood Drive

at
LorainCountyCommunity CollegeAnd we’re proud and
happy to announce that 190 pints were collected,
impacting up to 760 patients in the community.

Our thanks to all who served their community by donating.
Our thanks also to the hard working
staff at the LifeShare
Community Blood Services and our co-sponsors The Elyria
Chronicle Telegram, Giant Eagle, Hanson Services and Botamer
Florists and More.

The donors enjoyed live music throughout the day by Tri-C piano faculty
member, Frank Huang, students from the Aurora School of music,
members of the Ohio Philharmonic, pianist Larry Kass and Ernie Krivda
and the Tri-C Jazz Workshop students.

Here are some pictures from the event, decorated with balloons depicting
the Cirque de Soleil.

Blood Drives are not your
father's drive. Donors walk
away with lots of loot including
a dozen long stem roses
from Botomir Florists, coffee
mugs, T shirts, the WCLV
Goodie Bag and a chance
to spin the WCLV Prize
Wheel.
  Production Manager Jim
Mehrling talked with Mary
Ann Hanson of Hanson
Services, one of the
sponsors of the blood
drive.
  Ayano Nakamura, a student
from the Aurora School of
Music, serenaded the donors.
  Ernie Krivda's Tri-C Jazz
Ensemble performed for
the blood donors at
Stocker Conference Center
at Lorain County Community
College.
