CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA PUBLIC SQUARE CONCERT TO COMMEMORATE SEPTEMBER 11

In observance of the 10th Anniversary of September 11th, the annual Public Square
concert by The Cleveland Orchestra will take place on September 11th at 5:00 PM.
WCLV and its sister ideastream station, 90.3WCPN, will broadcast the event live. Loras
John Schissell, well known for his Blossom Festival Band and Blossom Festival
Orchesra concerts, will conduct. Also participating will be the Cleveland Orchestra
Youth Chorus and the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums. Admission
to the event is free.
The live radio broadcast on both WCLV and WCPN will begin at 5:00 PM.
Pre-concert tributes, not to be broadcast, will begin at 2:30 PM.
The entire community is invited to submit original artwork and photos for Images of Peace
— a community slide show to be displayed on a giant Jumbotron screen prior to
The Cleveland Orchestra's concert.
