WCLV CELEBRATES SHAKESPEARE'S BIRTHDAY,
OR HIS BAPTISMAL DAY, OR A DAY OR SO AFTER

April 26 may be Shakespeare's birthday, or his Baptismal Day, or according to some references,
a day or so after either.  Be that as it may, WCLV offers a Party for the Bard. Yes, the Bard
of Avon! The greatest playwright of all time! 

WCLV will celebrate William Shakespeare’s Baptismal Day on April 26th or what-have-you 
with great ado about much!  We’ll play musical works inspired by Shakespeare’s
dramatic works – Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, Tchaikovsky’s The Tempest, Mendelssohn’s
Midsummer Night’s Dream, Verdi’s Otello .  We’ll read sonnets and songs.   

And interspersed with these delights, we’ll give you a chance  to show you
know your Shakespeare. You could win your very own Shakespeare finger puppet. 
You could win a lovely tin of After-Shakespeare Mints. OR  a copy of Telarc’s
Compact Disc, The Jekyll and Hyde Tour with PDQ Bach and Peter
Shickele. The disc includes such delightful titles as “The Three Witches from
Macbeth,”  and Soliloquies by Hamlet and Juliet
